Join Us in Helping our Children:
The Carrie Steele - Pitts Home is a place like none other. We invite you to visit us, to share a meal with the children, to listen to their stories, to witness the love and respect for others. You will be forever changed by the experience. We hope you will join us in preserving the legacy of the Carrie Steele - Pitts Home as we enhance our services by building our Life Learning Center.

We look forward to seeing the delight on the children's faces as they run and play, create works of art, study a new subject, or just have fun with each other. We welcome your participation in this capital campaign and your involvement in the future of thousands of young people in our community. Your generous support will make great things possible in the lives of our children.

We have told you of the unconditional love and commitment we have at CSPH for our children. But it takes more than love to keep the Home in operation. As a United Way agency, the Home receives contributions toward its operational expenses. Additional support is needed to strengthen the Home's uniquely successful child development program and expand the Home's limited physical plans. Upkeep on the existing five cottages is costly and requires a continuous source of income. The Home also must maintain vans for transporting the children the school, church activities, and summer outings.

These expenses are not nearly as great as the expense of denying help to the at-risk children in our community. Your contribution and commitment are not just to Carrie Steele - Pitts Home, Inc., you are contributing and committing to the future and well being of our children and our society.

Please call us to make arrangements to visit us personally and see for yourself the tremendous difference that you can make in the life of a child. All contributions to the Carrie Steele - Pitts Home are tax deductible and may be paid over a three-to-five year period. For larger gifts, particularly designated of memorial gifts, arrangements may be made to extend the pledge payment period over a longer time.

Gifts of appreciated securities and other property offer many tax advantages and will be gratefully accepted, there are also a variety of other deferred giving opportunities.

Checks should be made payable to: Carrie Steele - Pitts Home, Inc. For further information on how you can help the children of the Carrie Steele - Pitts Home, please contact:

"We can't give up on our children. They are our today and tomorrow, and it is our responsibility to support them in every way possible. Unfortunately, there aren't enough resources for children in our community, so it is vitally important that we support and replicate the wonderful work of the Carrie Steele - Pitts Home".

- Reverend Gerald Durley,

Providence Baptist Church and Morehouse School of Medicine
